The dual sorters are systems with different technologies combined into one machine. For example: where both lasers and cameras are simultaneously scanning the products.
The Dual Sorter is designed to sort out stones, bones, wood and other foreign objects as well as discoloured products. Products like potatoes and vegetables (whole carrots). In the world of sorting equipment 2 technologies have dominated: CCD cameras and LASERS. CCD cameras recognize colour and can also perform shape recognition, while lasers can see texture in all kinds of products. Now we can sort on both colour and texture in one machine. This system gives us the best results of both technologies, the superior colour sorting of CCD cameras and the unmatched texture sorting of the laser. On top of that, the dual sorter can be equipped with "Fluo" laser technology.
